We specialize in one-of-a-kind ukuleles, using unique, beautiful woods, both traditional and exotic. We use Ebony (Diospyros crassiflora) forall our fingerboards and saddles. Bone nut and saddles on all models give us a clean sound. Genuine or Khaya Mahogany is used for all the necks. Custom options are readily available.
We are very proud of our custom ukuleles. Some of the features of these special ukuleles are unique highly figured woods such as Koa (Acaia koa), Honduran Rosewood (Dalbergia stevenonii), Cuban Mahogany (Swietenia mahogany), Mango (Mangifera Indica), figured Maple(Acer sacharum) and other choices.
All our exotic wood ukuleles are available with radiused fingerboards, shell or wood inlays and custom rosettes. Radiused fingerboards are cut with an arc on the top. This arc is sanded into the wood and the frets are bent to match. Our arc is 12” radius and is made to match the natural curve of your fretting fingers. Radiused fingerboards facilitate the ease of playing and are considered an upgrade.
